 METHODIST CHURCH GHANA FIGHTS MOTHER CHURCH OVER SAME-SEX MARRIAGE  Methodist Church Ghana fights mother church over same-sex marriage A serious turf war has erupted in Christendom leading to a division in the Methodist Church over approval of congregants for same-sex marriage. Whereas the British Methodist at a conference in Birmingham in its Representative Session from 29th June to 4th July 2019 embraced same-sex marriage, their Ghanaian counterparts have opposed the decision. The Methodist Church which is the UK’s fourth-largest Christian denomination passed by 247 votes to 48, a motion that “consents in principle to the marriage of same-sex couples on Methodist premises… and by Methodist ministers, probationers or members.” The decision by the British Methodist church was backed by Dignity & Worth, a pro-LGBT group within the Methodist Church. Bantama gradually becoming a dump fill site ?

The Workers of Kumasi Metro Mass Transit in the Bantama Constituency under the Kumasi Metropolitan of the Ashanti Region are appealing to the authorities to move the refuse  which has been there for over two(2) and half years . According to the workers ,the refuse has tend to affect the quality health of the entire community. Some mechanical engineers further stressed that, " they have informed the authorities to help move the open dump site on several occasion but to no avail.  Meanwhile, the residents are still pleading with Government, their member of Parliament  Hon. Daniel Okyem  Aboagye  and other authorities to come to their aid before the occurrence of any serious disease outbreak .

Bizarre at Diabene W/R as man allegedly kill son.

A 47-year-old man has under a strange circumstance, stabbed his six-year-old son to death at Diabene, a farming community within the Sekondi/Takoradi metropolis of the Western Region. Kwaku Aaba, a local gin distiller, allegedly used a sharp machete to slash the boy’s neck from the back without any provocation whatsoever, causing him to bleed to death. The suspect was said to have committed the murder at about 11:30am on Saturday Whiles he was on his way to farm with his two children, including the deceased. Though the man claimed the machete fell from a sack the deceased was carrying and accidentally hacked his son, his elder son who witnessed the incident said his father intentionally hit the deceased with the sack containing the well-sharpened machete. Residents who were shocked by the bizarre incident subjected the suspect to severe beatings before he was handed to the Police in Takoradi. The Police say an investigation into the case has begun. CONSTRUCTION OF BUNJAI-KIDENG ROAD AND BRIDGES ON COURSE It has been a nightmare for the good people of Salaga North constituency now North East Gonja District in the past years after the exit of Former president Kuffour. Almost all feeder roads in the district were done during Hon Boniface tenure as MP and the lack of maintenance by the recent past regime caused damages on some of the roads including Kpalbe-Nyeshilla, Yapala-Kpanshegu-Voguyili Ring road, Buhujah, Bunjai-Deba, Jidanturu-Epuneyerima, Gbung-Chihigu, Kpalbe-Vanie, Kpalbe-Jinloo, Kpalbusi-Zankum, Fushila, Jantong roads, Bunjai-Kideng and more. Thanks to Almighty for bringing back the vehicle that brought about the roads to rehabilitate them for the good people of the District to get common salt during the raining season. HON ALHASSAN ABDALLAH IDDI DELIVERED ELECTRICAL MATERIALS FOR RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROJECTS.

THE DCE FOR NORTH EAST GONJA, HON ALHASSAN ABDALLAH IDDI DELIVERED ELECTRICAL MATERIALS FOR RURAL ELECTRIFICATION PROJECTS. The DCE received the materials from the ministry of Energy and handed it to the contractor for the completion of works at Yapala, Tantuyani, Kpanshegu and Takpili communities today. The people were more than happy upon seeing the high tension wires in their towns and the contractor assured the DCE and the constituents that he will do a good job and finished on schedule upon receipt of all materials needed. However materials for Libi, Voguyili, Sakpalua, Kpinchilla, Jalo, Buhujah among others have also arrived for delivering. Meanwhile the DCE is in Accra again for similar projects for other communities and other projects in the district.

2 jailed, 8 fined GH₵ 3,840 for sanitation offences Two persons, namely Charles Asante and Emmanuel Oduro have been sentenced to ten (10) months in prison for contravening provisions in the Public Health Act, 2012 (851) and the Accra Metropolitan Assembly’s Bye-laws 2017. This follows the inability of the two to pay a fine of GH₵600.00 cedis each after a sanitation court presided over by Her Worship, Mrs.Juliet Osei-Boadu found them guilty of dumping refuse indiscriminately at Tudu, a suburb in Accra. The court, also fined Reuben Abbey, GH₵300 Cedis in default four months in prison and granted Laro Dauda a bail of GH₵4,000 Cedis with a surety to reappear in court on the 11th August, 2019 for the same offence. In a related development, the court also fined 8 traders from Agbogbloshie Market namely, Gemma Enim, Sena Kwaku, Daniel Amevor, Kofi Asamoah, Kwame Ernest, Kwabena Agyekum, Yaw Attah and Atta Maame a total of GH₵3,840.
