Bantama gradually becoming a dump fill site ?

The Workers of Kumasi Metro Mass Transit in the Bantama Constituency under the Kumasi Metropolitan of the Ashanti Region are appealing to the authorities to move the refuse which has been there for over two(2) and half years .

According to the workers ,the refuse has tend to affect the quality health of the entire community.

Some mechanical engineers further stressed that, " they have informed the authorities to help move the open dump site on several occasion but to no avail.

Meanwhile, the residents are still pleading with Government, their member of Parliament Hon. Daniel Okyem Aboagye and other authorities to come to their aid before the occurrence of any serious disease outbreak .

Financial Clearance to Employ Nurses Contrary to the claims by some nurses that there hasn’t been any recruitment like the president said in the State of the Nations Address, the Ministry of health in a statement said it had received clearance from the Ministry of Finance to recruit 14,254 nurse assistants who passed their exams in 2016 from Government institutions. The statement said the ministry “has received financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance to employ 14,254 nurse assistants (clinical and preventive) from government nursing training institutions and the names have been verified by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. This clearance took effect from 1st February, 2019.” The ministry of health has also issued the number of nurse assistants (clinical and preventive) for allocation to each agency for posting to their respective health facilities. The building has been declared a danger zone by National Disaster Management Organization whiles preparation are underway to demolish the death trap before it collapse on the occupants.
