Prestea-Mpohor- Takoradi road blocked on Tuesday



Residents of communities along the Apowa-Mpohor road on Tuesday blocked road to prevent vehicular movement. The blockade, was on the road that linked Prestea Junction to Mpohor township , Takoradi and it environs,according to the residents, the exercise was embarked to put forward their grievances to authorities on the terrible nature of their road.

The residents complained, that since the President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, cut sod to commence  the construction of the project from Kejebir-Mpohor in 2018, no substantial work has been done on the said road by the contractor; JPP Construction Limited.

 According to them, the contractor has been lackadaisical towards the  project, and on  that aggravating the deplorable nature of the road.

They bemoaned, since the President cut sod for the construction of the 16 kilometre Kejebir-Mpohor road in July, 2018, JPP Construction Limited have only been able to construct gutters of few meters in length, which is not impressive' they added.

"This is just a tip of the iceberg  if government fails to fix our road" residents conclude.
