Nkawie:lifeless body found in girlfriend's room

Police at Nkawie in the Ashanti region are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man found lifeless in his girlfriend’s room.

The body of Kofi Nsiah was discovered on Wednesday at Mpatuam in the Amansie West District — where his girlfriend, whose name was given as Mummy lives with her sister.

Mummy, 18, who is three months pregnant, has since been taken into custody as part of police investigations.

The deceased had gone to spend the night with the suspect after he discovered her sister was out of town.

“I was told by Mummy that the deceased who was lying in the bed was not responding to calls after several hours… So I hurriedly informed my mother of the development only to be told he is dead,” narrated sister of the suspect who only gave her name as Mercy.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Toase Government Hospital morgue pending autopsy.

NO CAUSE FOR ALARM ON CORONAVIRUS SUSPECTED CASES: DR. BADU SARKODIE.

Dr. Badu Sarkodie, Director Public Health of Ghana Health Service has called on Ghanaians to stay calm on suspected Coronavirus in Ghana. Speaking to Oman news on Thursday, Dr. Sarkodie disclosed that, out of four suspected cases recorded in the country so far, all prove negative.
