MICHAEL OKYERE BAAFI MEETS IRANIAN AMBASSADOR TO GHANA

Mr. Michael Okyere Baafi, the Chief Executive Officer for Ghana Free Zones Authority, on Thursday, February 28, 2019.paid a courtesy call on the Iranian Ambassador  to Ghana,   Dr Nosratollah Maleki to discuss issues of mutual concern and prayed for increased   investments from Iran into Ghana.

It is instructive to note that companies operating under the Free Zones enclave exported goods valued at $1.04 billion in the first nine months of last year.

THE ECONOMY OF IRAN

The economy of Iran is a mixed and transition economy with a large public sector. It is the world's eighteenth largest by purchasing power parity. Some 60% of the economy is centrally planned.

 Foreign Direct Investment into Iran mainly focuses on the following sectors: polymer and chemicals, steel, trade, motor vehicles, mining, plastic and medical devices.

The official unit of currency is the Iranian rial.

Iran Foreign Direct Investment stands at 2356.90 USD Million.

TWIFO HEMANG LOWER DENKYIRA DCE  nominee Confirmed.  President Nana Addo Dankwa -Akufo Addo nominee as the  District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District in the Central Region, Mr. Kennedy Sarpong was on  Thursday, June 13,2019.
