SUSPECTED TAKORADI KIDNAPPER ARRAIGNED BEFORE COURT.




The Nigerian kidnapper Samuel Willis has arrived at the Takoradi District Court.

Today,(Monday) February 18, 2019.

It will be recalled that:

The Western Regional Police Command  recaptured the alleged ‘serial kidnapper’ who broke out of the Takoradi Central Police Station after his arrest.

According to  report, Samuel Wilson was arrested from his hideout in Takoradi.

The suspect is reportedly behind the high profile kidnappings in the Takoradi and other communities in the Western Region.

He was initially arrested by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and handed over to the police for investigations.


But he mysteriously escaped from the Takoradi Central Police cells where he was being held.

Samuel reportedly escaped from the cells despite seven Police officers being on duty at the time.

The Police subsequently launched a manhunt for the suspect, describing him as a "notoriously dangerous" man who speaks with Nigerian accent.


However, just under a week after his escape, Samuel was  recaptured by the Western Regional Police.

He is currently arraigned before the Takoradi District Court.

10 Die in Fire🔥 at Flamengo Football Club in Brazil. A blaze has engulfed a dormitory at the youth team training centre of one of Brazil's biggest football clubs, killing 10 people, local media report. Three people were also injured when the fire broke out at Ninho de Urubu, the training ground of Flamengo football club, in Rio de Janeiro. The fire reportedly broke out as players were sleeping. The cause is not yet known. Flamengo is one of Brazil's biggest and best-known clubs. Social media posts showed the extent of the devastation at the ground. According to the G1 news portal, the fire began at 05:10 (07:10 GMT) and was extinguished by 07:30. None of the victims has been identified but players aged between 14 and 17 are known to have used the dormitory. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital, firefighters say.
