Audrey Maame Esi Swatson , Ghana's youngest Pilot today Monday, February 11,2019.paid a courtesy call to Hon.Joseph Kofi Kowe Adda, Minister for Aviation Ghana.
Speaking to Maame Esi Swatson, she said " it wasn't easy for her at all in the beginning as some even discouraged her , to the extent that people putting fear into her that, before you can become a pilot, you have to be expert in Physics, Chemistry ,Biology ,bombarded with so many tales and so forth, but it was different ball game all together on the field."
She added that, at times people even ask her ' you are a lady why are you worrying yourself so much to fly an aircraft?
And according to her, the aforementioned were all challenges to her, but she's able to overcome, she tells J24 NEWS GH" how she wish everyone will be a pilot.
She therefore called on all Ghanaian youth to emulate her consistency, persistence and determination to get to the top, and more importantly identify what they can do and persevere.
The sector minister Kofi Adda,who doubles as a Member of Parliament for Navrongo Central, in a conversation with Audrey said, his doors and arms are open for her anytime and could work in for assistance anytime the need arises.
He disclosed that " there's going to be a flight school in Ghana and train people to become pilots in Ghana,whereby people can also learn how to fly the aircraft as hobbies and for fun.
Again,he said' a National Career coming up and that when it comes,it will probably create an opportunity for Swatson.
J24 NEWS GH, had the opportunity to speak to Mr.Kwasi Swatson a father of Audrey Maame Esi Swatson, used the opportunity to advise parents not do impose some job career's on their wards, but rather, support what the child is good at.
However, Mrs. Arthur Swatson , a mother of Audrey was of the view that, if only what the child is good at, is something that could yield positive results, then he/she must be supported and not even if it will yield or have negative impact' she tells J24 news Gh.
