MOTHER  SLASHES DAUGHTER'S HAND FOR STEALING GHc5.00

Alice  Aggrey, a 35 year old  Single mother, who is 7 months old pregnant and  with 5 Children  has inflicted knife wound on her 10 year old daughter for allegedly stealing GHÈ»5.00 from a colleague.

The daughter, who is a student of  Oblogo Basic School,in the Ga South Municipal Assembly, was reported by a colleague to the victim's mother that, the victim had stolen money from her bag in school.

The mother, who is a chop bar attendant who  resides at 'Choice '  a suburb of weeks in Accra, upon hearing of the theft just pulled a knife and slashed the hand of the daughter , leaving her with a deep wound.

A neighbour, Janet Addah,who upon hearing of the girls wailing rushed her   to the hospital at Ga South Municipal Hospital (Akawe), where the cut was stitched.


The case, after been reported to the Weija ACC Police Station,was referred to the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) at Weija.
