DON'T PAY MONEY TO ANYONE- NEIP WARNS

DON'T PAY MONEY TO ANYONE- NEIP WARNS.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP), John Kumah, has cautioned prospective applicants for its second window of the Presidential Business Support Programme to be wary of unscrupulous middlemen who may be seeking to extort money from them under the pretext of aiding them to access funds.

The initiative seeks to support entrepreneurs to start and expand their businesses with grants ranging from GHS10,000 to GHS100,000.

Already, over 1,000 beneficiaries have received the presidential support paving the way for the next batch to be rolled onto the programme.

Speaking at a media briefing on the programme’s modalities, Mr Kumah raised concerns about attempts by some lobbyists to extort money from unsuspecting applicants during the registration process.

He cautioned the public to stay away from such characters and instead follow due process for registration.

He further explained that government is focused on boosting individual start up businesses to help reach it full potentials.
