AMA consider making Saturdays a 'market day 'at circle.

WE SHALL MAKE SATURDAY & SUNDAY'S A MARKET DAY AT CIRCLE : A.M.A CONSIDER.

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly ( AMA)  circle zone, is considering making Saturday's and Sunday's a market day at Kwame  Nkrumah Circle.

Moses Abor who is in charge of AMA Rapid Response Unit, disclosed this to J24 NEWS GH in an interview.


Barely about two months ago, there was much concerns about how traders were allowed to invade on the pavement to ply their trade, especially under the interchange.

Mr. Abor explained that, the traders were allowed because of the Yuletide but now that the season is over, no one will be entertain to sell on the pavement, according to him the pavement is for pedestrians and not traders.

Indeed, at our time of visit, the pavement was free and clean.

When ask how he did it, Moses said, he engaged the people before the festive season and after.

That notwithstanding, Mr.Abor said," the Assembly is considering making weekend's 'Market day' at Circle so that people can come around and shop under keen supervision of the Assembly.

He called on all Ghanaians to join hands in order to make the city clean.
