Hon.Yaw Buaben Asamoa organises prayer Breakfast meeting for Muslim leaders

Hon.Yaw Buaben Asamoah ,Esq. Member of Parliament for Adentan
Constituency in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday, met with Imams,Zongo Chiefs (Sariki's) and Opinion leaders of Muslim communities in the Adentan Constituency and municipality.

The meeting was dubbed "Breakfast Prayer Meeting " under the theme : Spiritual Guidance, Effective Leadership "

The meeting was held at Frafraha,Adenta.

The aim of the meeting was to share ideas on how best they can move the constituency and the municipality forward.

Hon. Yaw Buaben Asamoa Esq,used the opportunity to explain some of Government's Policies and interventions within it's period in office.

More importantly, he touched down on the upcoming Referendum and the need to vote "Yes" towards the exercise.

He explained that, electing Members of the various Assemblies, Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies on partisan basis will help get rid of the winner takes all syndrome.

The Adua Breakfast meeting was a non- Partisan which draw almost all leaders and some members of the Muslim communities in the Constituency to share ideas.

In attendance were,Sheikh Mohammed Ishaq Chief Imam Adenta and was the Chairman for the Occasion, Sheikh Ali Chief Imam of Icodehs, Sheikh Salman Imam of Ashaley Botwe (Fulani), Sheikh Umar Sidi Ashaley Botwe Imam, Sheikh Mutawakilu Imam Animal Research , Council of Zongo Chief Alhaji Sariki Adamu among many.

According to Hon.Buaben  Asamoa Esq, the dynamics at which MP's are been changed within the Constituency is not helping to bring much development as needed, therefore, they should give him more years to deliver and exercise patience to reap full benefit of what has been started.

The participants expressed gratitude and call for more of such meetings, to most of them, this is the first time they are witnessing such occasion since the year 1992.

TWIFO HEMANG LOWER DENKYIRA DCE  nominee Confirmed.  President Nana Addo Dankwa -Akufo Addo nominee as the  District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District in the Central Region, Mr. Kennedy Sarpong was on  Thursday, June 13,2019. Confirmed by the Assembly Members with 78 percent endorsement out of the total votes cast at an  emergency meeting held by the Assembly. The new DCE, Hon. Kennedy Sarpong, garnered 19  votes of the 24 member Assembly representing 78 percent in favor,with 5 votes  against.
