The member of parliament for Ablekuma North Constituency in the Greater Accra Region,  Nana Akua Owusu Afriyie (Hon.)  on Friday Cut sod to construct a standard mini stadium at Kwashieman  in the Ablekuma North Constituency.

Speaking to Oman news/j24newsgh at a brief ceremony, the member of parliament disclosed that, born at Odorkor and started her Basic School Education at Kwashieman and knowing the terrain very well, she's honoured to put up such edifice if the people has given her the nod to serve as their Member of parliament.

According to her, the ultramodern Standard mini stadium will be furnish with all the needed infrastructures so that those who will patronize the facility will feel comfortable.

'However, Kiosk and unauthorised structures along and around the Kwashieman Park which is to be develop, will be moved"she added.

 She further stressed that, the project will commence on Monday, August 19,2019.

She was with optimistic that, the project will create jobs for people both directly and indirectly since people will be employed as caretaker's, Administrator, Security and Shop owners who will sell within the vicinity.

More importantly, the project is fully funded by Government of Ghana, She therefore used the opportunity to thank the President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for his listening ears and the kind gesture.

Elaborating on some of the projects  done and ongoing in the constituency, she said"barely a month ago, she commissioned a lorry tunnel at 'Darkuman with restrooms. Seven streets has also been tarred at 'Darkuman whereas a foundation has also been started at 'Awoshie to put up an ultramodern hospital for the people to access health care.

That notwithstanding, drains has also been constructed at 'Otaten to take care of flood and other related issues.

She concluded that, the 'Lafa Stream basin which was more of a death trap has been taken care of.

Speaking to Nana Kwasi Agyemang, the Contractor of the mini standard stadium, he said minimum duration for the project will be six months and nine months maximum.

The brief but important ceremony was graced by 'Kwashieman Mantse  Nii Awuley Ahiaku (VI), some clergymen in the Ablekuma North Constituency and some community members.

NO CAUSE FOR ALARM ON CORONAVIRUS SUSPECTED CASES: DR. BADU SARKODIE.

Dr. Badu Sarkodie, Director Public Health of Ghana Health Service has called on Ghanaians to stay calm on suspected Coronavirus in Ghana. Speaking to Oman news on Thursday, Dr. Sarkodie disclosed that, out of four suspected cases recorded in the country so far, all prove negative.
