THREE PUPILS DEAD IN TEMA FIRE OUTBREAK.

 Three Basic school students has been burnt to death after 'our day' celebration in Tema Comm.2 near BBC station in the Tema Metropolis of the Greater Accra Region.

The fire is reported to have occurred at about 1pm on Thursday, April 11,2019.

The three are pupils of John Bosco and Mexico Basic schools respectively all in Tema.

The incident happened at Tema Community 2 near the BBC station where the victims resides with their Aunty and Grandmother.


According to the  residents who initially saw the fire called fire service but upon arrival, the three girls has already burnt to death.
The eldest among the three is a 10 year old, followed by 8 and 3 year old respectively.
The 8 and 3 year old are siblings whereas the 10 year old with a different parent.

The cause of the fire is yet not known.

However, the bodies of the deceases have been conveyed to Tema General Hospital Morgue pending autopsy.

FINANCIAL LOSS IN TEMA BY TMA FORMER MCE. A 12 unit shop built at a cost of three hundred thousand  Ghana Cedis (GHC300,000) by the former Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) for Tema ,Ashai Odamteen ,has been declared structurally weak for commercial and human habitation by engineers from Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA)after a structural integrity test of the facility conducted. The building has been declared a danger zone by National Disaster Management Organization whiles preparation are underway to demolish the death trap before it collapse on the occupants.
