A/R: GCPP THREATENS TO SUE POLITICAL PARTIES WITH VIGILANTE GROUPS


The Ashanti Regional Chairman of Great Consolidated Popular Party Mr.Kofi Owusu Omar is threatening to sue political parties promoting vigilantism activities in the country ,if they refused to disband or disown such groups.

According to him ,the New Patriotic Party and National Democratic Congress should accept the fact that they are the main brain behind the uncountable mayhem recorded in the country and must to compel with the Ghana Police Service orders to disband the various vigilante groups which is now a threat to  Ghana's Democracy as well as the security apparatus in the country is concern.

He admonished the various political parties who involve themselves in vigilantism activities for protection to disassociate from the group and consult Ghana Police Service for professional security protection in other to allow law and order to  manifest .

He also bemoaned about how various political parties who use their incumbency interference to pose a fright on Police Officers who exercise professionalism to secure peace and security.

Mr. Kofi Owusu Omar disclosed that GCPP as a political party condemned the recent shooting incident which led one person dead and the other one injured  at the Ashanti regional ndc headquarters act as barbaric and is also a disgrace to  Ghana's politics.

He therefore urged the  various political parties in country including GCPP must stop interfering the police service administration with their own selfish interest.

TWIFO HEMANG LOWER DENKYIRA DCE  nominee Confirmed.  President Nana Addo Dankwa -Akufo Addo nominee as the  District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District in the Central Region, Mr. Kennedy Sarpong was on  Thursday, June 13,2019. Financial Clearance to Employ Nurses Contrary to the claims by some nurses that there hasn’t been any recruitment like the president said in the State of the Nations Address, the Ministry of health in a statement said it had received clearance from the Ministry of Finance to recruit 14,254 nurse assistants who passed their exams in 2016 from Government institutions. The statement said the ministry “has received financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance to employ 14,254 nurse assistants (clinical and preventive) from government nursing training institutions and the names have been verified by the Nursing and Midwifery Council. This clearance took effect from 1st February, 2019.” The ministry of health has also issued the number of nurse assistants (clinical and preventive) for allocation to each agency for posting to their respective health facilities.
